Bromcom have announced that Swansea Council in Wales has selected them to provide both the MIS (Management Information System) and the Finance Solution for all schools in the city, the first time a Welsh local authority has chosen to implement both Bromcom MIS and Finance across their entire school network.
Swansea is aiming to roll out the Bromcom system by 31st March 2026, with the rollout starting as soon as possible. This comes as part of their commitment to modernising school operations and communications, replacing outdated legacy systems with a cutting-edge AI-powered platform that will benefit staff, students, and parents alike.
The authority apparently went through a rigorous selection process, reviewing a number of different suppliers and holding in-depth demonstrations before making their choice, with cyber security being one of their top priorities.
Robert Smith, Cabinet Member for Education & Learning at Swansea Council said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Bromcom to deliver a secure, integrated cloud-based solution across all Swansea schools. This project represents a bold step forward in enhancing the way we manage educational data and communicate with our school communities. Bromcom’s innovative solution will help us achieve our vision of modernising school operations and improving the experience for both staff and students.”
Ali Guryel, Managing Director of Bromcom Computers, responded: “We’re delighted that Swansea has chosen Bromcom to help transform their educational experience. This means 4 out 5 Welsh local authorities have chosen Bromcom when switching to cloud MIS from the legacy SIMS MIS. From the outset, we’ve worked closely with the Council to understand their needs, and we’re excited to roll out our integrated solution to all their schools. Our focus on innovation, security, and seamless integration makes us the ideal partner to help Swansea achieve its vision for education.”
Once again, we see the Welsh MIS sector opening up and expect to see more such contracts being awarded over coming months.
