MIS providers: What’s new in BETT season?

With BETT rapidly approaching, we asked all MIS providers to let us know if they have any new releases, or news they’d like promoted in advance of BETT.

This is what they told us:

(As always, we asked all MIS suppliers the same question and we list below the responses received in strict alphabetical order).

The WhichMIS team will be on Stand SH43 at BETT, ready to answer your questions about all things ‘MIS’…

We’re pleased to share some of the major developments we’ve been working on to enhance ET-AIMS, making it an even more comprehensive solution for schools.

Enhanced Safeguarding Features

  • You can now add multiple pupils to a safeguarding record or incident, simplifying the documentation process.
  • Our upcoming functionality will allow cases to be merged when multiple accounts are created about the same incident, ensuring cohesive and accurate records.
  • Safeguarding reports can now be generated for staff members, extending the module’s versatility.

With these advancements, we believe our safeguarding module can now compete with market leaders, enabling schools to avoid purchasing separate safeguarding systems.

Broader MIS Capabilities

  • Our Outreach Scheduling and Recording module provides a comprehensive solution for managing outreach activities.
  • We’ve incorporated all the basic features of an MIS, with a unique approach that increases teacher productivity by reducing time spent on administrative tasks.
  • Integration with TimeTabler allows seamless timetable imports, and our fully functional exams system ensures smooth exam management.
  • Census Returns and a specialised Inspection Reports module provide peace of mind, producing essential documentation for inspections in under a minute a feature our customers describe as a game-changer.

We’re excited about these developments and how they can further support schools in improving efficiency and delivering better outcomes.

Groundbreaking AI developments from Bromcom

Bromcom never stands still.

Not content with being the AI-powered MIS, we have developed an even more powerful AI solution for 2025.

It will be more responsive and analytical, knitting together all the data available in the MIS.

Our new AI is taking the best features of the chatbot of 2024, harnessing the built-in workflows and injecting everything with typical Bromcom innovation.

Our new AI solution will provide all the intelligent predictive data analytics, automated reporting and streamlined communications you expect from AI, but it will also be able to hold your hand and guide you through the MIS with the data you need. And based on your role and permission, it will even be able to anticipate your workflow and do the heavy lifting for you.

Imagine asking Bromcom AI to find you a key group of students who need literacy or numeracy interventions, creating an intervention group, selecting a slot in the timetable, finding an available member of staff, adjusting all the timetables and diaries to reflect this and writing a letter for you to check to send to the parents which is automatically scheduled through MCAS? Bromcom AI 2025 will do this for you so you can concentrate on what really matters.

Longer term? The team are working on another breakthrough development, where within the MIS you can have voice assistance powered by AI – as your private helpdesk agent!

We will be demonstrating Bromcom AI at stand SG20, so come and see it in action!

Compass presentation at BETT:

An 8-minute presentation happening on Thursday the 23rd in the Classroom theatre between 12:30 – 13:30.

In this session, we’ll explore the transformative power of Compass, the Management Information System (MIS) that connects the entire school community around each learner’s journey.

We’ll highlight key tools like Chronicle, for pastoral and behavioural insights, and Pulse, for data visualisation. Matthew Parslow-Williams, Headteacher at Hethersett Primary, will share how Compass supports teacher wellbeing in his school, streamlines their reporting, and reduces workloads.

From attendance and safeguarding to pupil behaviour tracking, Compass provides robust, user-friendly solutions that empower schools like Matthew’s to create safer, more connected environments where every learner can thrive.

Matthew will conclude with a personal reflection on why Compass stands out as a leader’s choice in education.

Juniper are launching a new concept that is designed to approach MIS and the wider eco-system of software and services in a different way to the market.

The official launch is at BETT and they’ll be showcasing it throughout the show.
