Bromcom welcomes new Head of Strategic Relations
Richard Clutterbuck joins leading schools MIS provider to spearhead partnerships and drive product innovation to best support evolving needs within the education sector.
Management Information System (MIS) provider Bromcom Computers is pleased to announce that it has appointed Richard Clutterbuck as Head of Strategic Relations.
Richard has almost 30 years’ teaching experience and has previously held senior leadership roles within two Multi Academy Trusts (MATs). He was Headteacher at Bristol Free School (2011-2015) and Senior Principal at Cabot Learning Federation (2016-2019), before returning to Headship in 2022 at Cirencester Deer Park School.
At Bromcom, Richard will collaborate with schools, representing their voice to strengthen relationships and ultimately enable them to get the best value from their partnership. Richard will also have an instrumental role in third party integrations, so schools get the full functionality of their MIS.
Richard Clutterbuck, Head of Strategic Relations at Bromcom, says: “During my 29 years as a teacher, technology has always been something I’ve used and championed, so I am excited to be able to bring my education experience to Bromcom, and share my knowledge and understanding of how to get the best out of your MIS with schools and trusts.
“As well as a leading MIS provider, Bromcom is a family-owned company with a huge moral purpose at its core, serving schools and trusts so they can truly support individual pupils. I’m very excited to join the team and support its mission.”
Ali Guryel, Managing Director at Bromcom, adds: “Richard brings a wealth of experience as a teacher and a school leader that will prove invaluable to Bromcom as we continue to develop our MIS solution to help schools as they evolve.
“Our ground-breaking products have been developed in collaboration with a diverse range of schools, MAT, and local authorities, and Richard will further help us to nurture those crucial partnerships with our valued customers and stakeholders.”
Richard officially joined Bromcom on 1st September 2024. His immediate priorities are to establish and maintain regular contact with schools and trusts to create a platform for them to voice their opinions and experiences, which will ultimately help to shape the future of Bromcom’s sector-leading MIS.
At WhichMIS, we welcome any initiative that enables schools and MATs to influence the development of MIS offerings. The knowledge and experience of school and MAT staff – senior leaders, teaching staff, finance, IT, admin etc. – is invaluable to any EdTech company wishing to develop a product that genuinely meets the needs of schools and MATs.
We are sure that many MIS providers already have staff with previous experience of working within schools and MATs and we look forward to seeing ever closer relationships between current school staff and these providers to ensure that all MIS offerings aim to meet the needs of those that actually use them.
