We know this is still a major topic and requirement for schools & MATs when looking at MIS functionality, so we asked all MIS providers the same question:
Can you please let us know a little about your multi-school analytics?
This is what they told us…
As always, we ask all suppliers the same questions and we list MIS supplier responses we received in strict alphabetical order. If you’d like more information about any of the providers listed below, please see https://www.whichmis.com/your-mis-in-your-own-words/

Academia consists of 40+ highly functional modules.
Our analytics are powered by Power BI and can provide 400+ graphical and tabular reports to enable data-driven decisions for all stakeholders.
These can be viewed/analysed by campus/location/school allowing you to drill down by location or take a holistic ‘overall view’ in the case of multi-site institutions.

As well as our cloud-based MIS and integrated finance systems, we also offer a central data hub solution for trusts and local authorities: Vision.
Vision pulls together individual MIS data from all the schools in a trust or local authority, allowing users to view and analyse the entire dataset with the help of Power BI, analytics, and custom dashboards.
Not only does our ‘eye in the sky’ tool give the central team the data and insights they need to improve their decision-making, it provides a range of central management tools and drill-down functionality to take action and standardise their schools’ MIS from one place.
These tools are especially beneficial for growing trusts as they can set protocols from the top and cascade them down to their schools, instead of having to create them for a new school manually. Here’s some examples of what you can do with these tools:
- Build a report in Vision and have all your schools run it to collect the data you want
- Ensure data is consistent across a trust or LA by setting things like staff absence codes and user defined fields for all schools
- Standardise roles and permissions for all schools
- Set school objectives at a trust or LA level – but also allow individual schools to set their own individual targets alongside them
- Create assessment templates to be used by all schools
As Vision is cloud-based – just like our MIS – it can be accessed anywhere, anytime, too.
Your schools don’t all have to be using Bromcom MIS to use Vision, either; unlike other analytics tools for MATs and LAs, it can connect with any system – which is particularly useful for LAs. So, whether your schools currently use a mixture of systems or are moving to Bromcom in phases, you can reap the full benefits of Vision right now.

We understand that multi-school analytics remain a key focus for MATs and school groups, and we’re excited to share how Compass Pulse and Compass Enterprise are transforming the way schools harness data.
Our fully integrated, real-time analytics platform provides centralised oversight of school performance, compliance, and operational data across all schools within the group. With seamless aggregation of attendance, behaviour, safeguarding, staffing, and academic data, decision-makers at every level can access the insights they need, exactly when they need them.
What sets us apart is the real-time nature of our platform. Instead of working with outdated reports, schools get live data that empowers proactive interventions, smarter resource allocation, and strategic governance decisions. This means MAT leaders and school groups can spot trends early, improve student outcomes, and ensure compliance without the usual delays and complexity.

Our dashboards provide comprehensive multi-school analytics designed specifically for MATs (Multi-Academy Trusts) and school groups.
These dashboards offer a high-level overview of the trust’s overall health and the ability to drill down into individual school data for deeper insights.
We focus on key areas essential to effective school management, including financial health, learner and teaching performance, behaviour and social well-being, leadership and management effectiveness, and parent and community engagement.
Our goal is to equip MAT leaders with the data they need to make informed decisions that drive success across their schools.

At Furlong, we believe that knowledge is power.
That’s why analytics and reporting are seamlessly integrated into our MIS, SchoolBase. These features are available through both the built-in dashboards and an optional Power BI extension, offering enhanced insights and customisation potential.
Within SchoolBase, analytics can be tailored to report on any data stored within the system.
Whether an admissions team is evaluating the success of a recruitment campaign, or teachers are creating detailed views of student performance, the software makes comprehensive reporting effortless.
This is achieved through three key tools.
The first is a form-based tool that allows users to select functions, set parameters, choose chart formats, generate reports, and export data to a spreadsheet if needed. The second is a staff dashboard gadget, enabling instant charting of functions that do not require parameters, providing real-time insights. The third is a parent and pupil gadget, which presents data specific to an individual child in an accessible, visual format.
For those seeking deeper analysis, the Furlong team can configure Power BI to provide advanced analytics. This powerful tool enables administrators to gain real-time insights into student performance, attendance, finances, and operational metrics across multiple departments and schools, all within a centralised dashboard.

GO 4 Schools has built into the core analytics functionality a MAT dashboard that displays headline key performance measures for multiple schools by year group.
The charts and data will display for KS2 SATs results, KS4 and KS5 attainment.
The data will reflect targets uploaded to GO 4 Schools and the main progress grade used for tracking student attainment based on snapshots created during the reporting process.
This can be based on exam results, projected grades, or a grade captured based on real-time assessment data from GO 4 Schools markbooks.
The adding of data can be co-ordinated across schools at key points in time across the academic year.
The performance measures can be filtered by key focus groups found in the IDSR such as by sex, SEN and pupil premium and will display results by year group for each of the key measures.
Schools can be compared by headline grades or filtered out and data quickly downloaded.
The MAT view is included with GO 4 Schools Starter version, alongside the same dashboard view for each school and governors. We also provide a Customer API for MATs with data teams who wish to extract the attainment data direct from the database to create their own internal dashboards via tools like PowerBI or Google sheets. We have several Multi-academy Trusts that are using this process successfully so they can tailor the data in a way that works for them. Richer data is available via the API for behaviour, attendance, and student characteristics.

IRIS Central (Central) is our cloud-based analytics solution designed specifically to meet the needs of multi-school and academy trusts. It integrates seamlessly with our two school management information systems (MIS), IRIS Ed:gen and iSAMS By IRIS, as well as a number of third-party solutions via Wonde integration.
Central consolidates data from multiple sources — such as school management systems, HR, finance, and more — into a single, intelligent hub. This enables leaders, teachers, and staff to drill down into the details for the story behind the data and confidently track performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions that foster growth, and drive student success.
Central’s holistic approach to data management helps trust leaders facilitate knowledge sharing and communication between schools and academies, promoting consistency across processes and ultimately boosting trust-wide performance.
Its key features include:
- Integrated finance and HR dashboards offer insight into every aspect of school life, enabling leaders to obtain a firmer handle on navigating the main challenges affecting schools across the UK – recruitment and budget restrictions.
- Scenario modelling allows trusts to assess the potential impact of proposed actions to facilitate informed decision making.
- Accessible and easily digestible reports enable leaders to identify areas of improvement, access and analyse historic data, drive performance, and enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing between schools using IRIS’ MIS solutions.
- Unique capability to build bespoke, advanced dashboards for easy access to key information from one place. Additionally, its powerful, multi-layered permissions structure enables leaders to tailor access by role for complete control, saving time and mitigating the need for duplicate dashboards for multiple stakeholders.
