CONNECT by Veracross is a free educational and networking seminar for private and independent schools, with registration now open for this year’s event, taking place between 17 – 28 July.
You may never have heard of a company called Veracross, who are based just north of Boston, on the East Coast of the United States. But theirs is something of a success story.
Over 20 years ago, their founder, Elliott Breuer, started supporting a junior independent school by building a comprehensive system to manage the needs of students, parents, faculty, and staff. He called the fledgling SIS “SIMS” (School Information Management System), and 18 years ago started offering his product to other independent schools. He now has 2,500+ school customers in over 35 countries.
In February of this year, they acquired Firefly (a solution for whole school engagement and motivation headquartered in the UK), and more recently added Digistorm to the Veracross family (the latter develops custom apps, websites, and enrolment management systems).
They now have a couple of UK schools using their MIS and are actively investing to expand their presence this side of the pond.
They are now inviting UK private and independent schools to their CONNECT annual user conference, a free and virtual event made up of 60+ sessions running from July 17-28. There are many talks from educationalists on topics such as data analytics, next generation parental involvement, student wellbeing, and admission, retention and donor engagement.
It’s worth noting that most of the conference sessions will take place in Eastern Standard Time, but all are recorded so registrants will be able to view on-demand content at their convenience.
